CSU academic calendar fall 2023

The CSU fall 2023 calendar has important dates and deadlines on the CSU academic calendar 2023-2024.

1. Colorado State University (CSU) Move-in day fall 2023 is from August 14, 2023 to August 16, 2023. Residence Halls are open from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.
2. Orientation begins on Thursday, August 17, 2023 to Friday, August 18, 2023.
3. CSU Fall 2023 classes start on Monday, August 21, 2023. It is the first day classes for Fall 2023 semester.
4. End Restricted Drop date is Friday, August 25, 2023.
5. End Add Without Override is on Sunday, August 27, 2023.
6. Labor Day Holiday is Monday, September 4, 2023 on the CSU Calendar.
7. Registration closes on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. It is the end of the period for adding courses, and the last day for dropping courses without record entry, changes in grade options, and tuition and fee adjustment.
8. Course Withdrawals (“W”) Period, Repeat/Delete deadline is Friday, November 10, 2023. 
9. Colorado State University Fall break 2023 and Thanksgiving break is from Saturday, November 18, 2023 to Sunday, November 26, 2023. Classes resume on Monday, November 27, 2023.
10. Friday, December 8, 2023 is the last day of Classes for Fall 2023. 
11. University Withdrawal deadline is Friday, December 8, 2023.
12. CSU Final examinations is from Monday, December 11, 2023 to Friday, December 15, 2023.
13. CSU Commencement/Graduation 2023 is from Friday, December 15, 2023 to Saturday, December 17, 2023.
14. Fall 2023 grades are due on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.
15. Colorado State winter break 2023 is from Monday, December 18, 2023 to Monday, January 15, 2024.

CSU academic calendar spring 2024

The CSU spring 2024 calendar has important dates and deadlines on the CSU academic calendar 2023-2024.

1. Colorado State University New student orientation, advising, and registration for the CSU Spring 2024 semester will occur from Thursday, January 11, 2024, to Friday, January 12, 2024.
2. Colorado State University offices will be closed for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday, January 15, 2024.
3. CSU Spring 2024 classes for the spring semester start on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
4. The restricted drop period concludes on Friday, January 19, 2024.
5. The deadline for adding courses without override is Sunday, January 21, 2024.
6. The Add with Override period begins on Monday, January 22, 2024.
7. Wednesday, January 31, 2024, marks the census day and the end of the period for adding courses, as well as the last day for dropping courses without record entry, changes in grade options, and tuition and fee adjustments.
8. Founder’s Day, celebrating CSU’s 152nd birthday will be observed on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
9. CSU Spring Break 2024 is from Saturday, March 9, 2024, to Sunday, March 17, 2024. Classes resume on Monday, March 18, 2024, after Spring Break.
10. The end of the course withdrawal (“W”) period and the repeat/repair deadline is Friday, April 12, 2024.
11. Friday, May 3, 2024, marks the last day of classes for the semester and the deadline for semester withdrawal.
12. CSU Spring 2024 Final examinations will occur from Monday, May 6, 2024, to Friday, May 10, 2024.
13. CSU Graduation 2024 and Commencement ceremonies are scheduled for Friday, May 10, 2024, to Sunday, May 12, 2024.
14. The deadline for grades to be submitted is Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
