MyUFL is the university of Florida’s portal to a variety of online services and enterprise-wide applications.

A GatorLink account is used to access campus systems, including myUFL, One UF, UF wireless, and many more. Every current Student must have a GatorLink username and password.

To use GatorLink, you must agree to UF Acceptable Use Policies. Official university communications are sent to Students via the UF email address that GatorLink provides.

You’ll need GatorLink to log into UF Canvas as well.

How to log into myUFL

To access myUFL,

  1. Navigate to my.ufl.edu
  2. Click on the “Access myUFL” link.
  3. Enter your GatorLink username.
  4. Enter your password to log in.

How to create your gatorlink account

Follow the instructions below to create your Gatorlink account:

  1. Go to login.ufl.edu
  2. Click Create Account on the right
  3. Enter UFID/Last Name/DOB
  4. If you did not receive or have forgotten your invitation code, go here and follow the instructions to Resend the GatorLink invitation
  5. Complete the remaining steps
  6. If you receive an error message saying your information does not match, contact dess@ahc.ufl.edu for assistance.

Once your account is created, it is recommended that you store a password hint. This will allow you to create a new password online if you forget it in the future:

  1. Go to www.my.ufl.edu
  2. Login with your Gatorlink username and password
  3. Select Main Menu > My Account > Store My Password Hint.

How to reset myUFL passwordForgot Password

Here’s how to reset your myUFL forgot password…Self-Service Reset.

  1. Navigate to account.it.ufl.edu
  2. Click ‘Forgot Your Password
  3. Click ‘Self-Service Reset
  4. Enter your UFID and GatorLink ID
  5. Enter your month and day of birth (MM/DD)
  6. Choose a contact method for receiving a one-time-use verification code (phone- text or voice call and email)
  7. Enter Verification Code
  8. Read the overview of the “Acceptable Use Policy,” follow the link in the first paragraph to read the whole policy.
  9. When done, click ‘Accept & Continue’.
  10. Enter your new password, for password guidelines and other helpful information, which can be found on the Password Tips page.
  11. Don’t forget to update your password on your mobile devices (cellphone, laptop, tablet, etc.).

How do I get a GatorLink account?

Once your identity has been created with the University, eligible users should receive an invitation to create a GatorLink account to their personal email address.

To create the account, please visit account.it.ufl.edu and select ‘GatorLink Invitation: Finish Your Setup’ and follow the on-screen prompts.

If your GatorLink Invitation has expired you can have a new one sent to your account.it.ufl.edu and select ‘Resend GatorLink Invitation.’

How do I set up GatorLink email?

There are multiple ways to view your GatorLink email. One way is to visit the GatorLink Webmail site. If you would like to set up your Gatorlink email on Outlook, an iPhone, or an Android phone, visit the Help Desk Wiki for instructions.

Why can’t I change my username?

Changing an individual’s GatorLink username has ramifications that require action on the part of the individual and the individual’s department. Service issues should be expected following a username replacement. Former usernames will not be active after a GatorLink username replace.

The GatorLink Single Sign-On (SSO) is a feature that has existed for several years in the myUFL Portal and was extended to non-Portal applications in 2010.

An application that uses the UF GatorLink Sign-on screen can now participate in the SSO feature.

This feature generally allows an application that is being logged on to by the user to verify the credentials of the person based on the current browser session and information stored at the Identity Service Provider (IdP).

How do I get a UFID?

All students, employees, and others associated with the university have a UFID number. If you have a valid Gator 1 card, you have a UFID number. You can obtain your UFID number online at ufid.ufl.edu.

Gator 1 Cards, which have the UFID number printed on the front, are issued to Students, Faculty, Staff. and DSO staff. The Gator 1 Card gives you access to gated parking, libraries, computer labs, vending, Gator Dining, recreation centers, and many other places and services at UF.
