The Oregon State academic calendar for 2024 is designed to guide students, faculty, and staff through the key dates and events of the semester such as priority registration phases, class commencement, critical deadlines for adding, dropping, and withdrawing from courses

Every Oregon State University student must complete at least 180 credits, which is equivalent to 120 semester credits.

Oregon State University has a quarter system, meaning they have four, 11-week terms or quarters in an academic year; summer, fall, winter, and spring.

Each quarter is 11 weeks long. The minimum number of credits for which a full-time undergraduate student may register is 12, and the maximum is 19, regardless of the method of grading used for the classes selected.

These are the important dates and deadlines on the Oregon State academic calendar for winter 2024.

1. Priority Registration Phase 1 (Waitlist Not Available) is scheduled from November 19 to December 6, 2023.
2. Priority Registration Phase 2 (Waitlist Available) is from December 7 to January 14, 2024.
3. Classes for the winter 2024 term at Oregon State University will commence on January 8, 2024.
4. January 14, 2024, is the last day to add a course online without department approval and also the last day to drop a course with a 100% tuition refund.
5. Audit a course by January 14, 2024.
6. From January 15 to January 19, 2024, by 5 pm, add a course online with department approval.
7. January 21, 2024, is the last day to withdraw from a course with a 50% tuition refund.
8. Change the grading basis of a course by February 23, 2024, at noon.
9. February 23, 2024, is also the last day to withdraw from a course with no refunds available and to withdraw from the term.
10. March 15, 2024, is the deadline for graduate students to apply for graduation.
11. Classes for the term end on March 15, 2024, followed by Finals Week from March 18 to March 22.
12. The Winter Term 2024 concludes on March 22, 2024.
13. Winter 2024 Grades will be available online on March 27, 2024.

These are the important dates and deadlines on the Oregon state academic calendar for spring 2024.

1. Spring 2024 Priority Registration Phase 1 (Waitlist Not Available) is scheduled from February 25 to March 13, 2024.
2. Priority Registration Phase 2 (Waitlist Available) takes place from March 14 to April 7, 2024.
3. Classes for the Spring 2024 term at Oregon State University will begin on April 1, 2024.
4. April 7, 2024, is the last day to add a course online without department approval and also the last day to drop a course with a 100% tuition refund.
5. Audit a course between April 8 and April 12, 2024, by 5 pm.
6. Add a course online with department approval until April 14, 2024.
7. April 21, 2024, is the last day to withdraw from a course with a 50% tuition refund.
8. Change the grading basis of a course by May 17, 2024, at noon.
9. May 17, 2024, is also the last day to withdraw from a course with no refunds available and to withdraw from the term.
10. June 7, 2024, is the deadline for graduate students to apply for graduation.
11. Classes for the term end on June 7, 2024, followed by Finals Week from June 10 to June 14.
12. The Spring Term 2024 concludes on June 14, 2024.
13. Spring 2024 Grades will be available online on June 19, 2024.
