UCR RWeb: Helpful Guide to Access UCR Student Portal 2023

UCR RWeb is an online platform provided by the University of California, Riverside (UCR) that serves as a gateway for students, faculty, and staff to access various academic and administrative services. RWeb stands for “Resources on the Web,” and the platform offers a range of features, such as:

  • Access to class schedules, registration, and enrollment
  • Viewing and managing academic transcripts and grades
  • Financial aid and billing information
  • Viewing and managing personal information, such as contact information and emergency contacts
  • Access to campus email and calendar
  • Access to library resources, such as search databases and research materials
  • And more.

UCR RWeb is accessible to all UCR students, faculty, and staff through their unique UCR NetID and password. It is a convenient and efficient way to access important information and services related to academic and campus life at UCR. How to log into UCR Rweb

To log into UCR RWeb, follow these steps:

  1. Open your web browser and go to the UCR RWeb login page: rweb.ucr.edu.
  2. Enter your UCR NetID in the “UCR NetID” field.
  3. Enter your password in the “Password” field.
  4. Click the “Sign In” button.

If you are a new student or have not yet created your UCR NetID, you will need to go through the NetID activation process before you can log in to RWeb. 

If you have forgotten your UCR NetID or password, you can reset them by clicking on the “Forgot your password?” or “Forgot your UCR NetID?” links on the RWeb login page and following the prompts.

How to activate your UCR NetID

UCR NetID is a unique identifier assigned to each student, faculty, and staff member at the University of California, Riverside (UCR). It is used to access various campus systems and services, such as UCR RWeb, UCR email, wireless networks, library resources, and more.

A UCR NetID consists of a combination of letters and numbers and is typically based on the individual’s name or initials. It is used in conjunction with a password to authenticate the user’s identity and provide secure access to the systems and services.

You can get your UCR NetID within two hours of registering for a class. Following receipt of your Enrollment Confirmation, you should receive a second automated email with a Temporary ID, Temporary Password, links and instructions to set up your UCR NetID.

To create your UCR NetID, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your email and follow the links and instructions you received in the email.
  2. Enter your UCR Student ID number in the “Student ID Number” field.
  3. Enter your birthdate in the “Birthdate” field in MM/DD/YYYY format.
  4. Enter the security code displayed in the “Security Code” field.
  5. Click the “Submit” button.
  6. On the next screen, you will be asked to create a password for your UCR NetID. Follow the instructions and create a password that meets the requirements.
  7. Once you have created your password, you will be prompted to select and answer a series of security questions.
  8. After answering the security questions, click the “Submit” button.
  9. Your UCR NetID will be created, and you will receive a confirmation email with your NetID and instructions on how to log in to UCR RWeb.

Your UCR NetID requires a 3-hour activation period before you can access NetID and WiFi; a 4-hour activation period before you can access eLearn (Moodle); and a 24-hour activation period before you can access iLearn (Blackboard). You should set up your UCR NetID a few days prior to your first class meeting.

How to reset your forgotten UCR NetID password

To reset your forgotten UCR NetID password, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the UCR RWeb login page: rweb.ucr.edu.
  2. Click on the “Forgot your password?” link located beneath the Password field.
  3. On the next page, enter your UCR NetID in the “UCR NetID” field and complete the “I’m not a robot” verification.
  4. Click the “Continue” button.
  5. On the next page, you will be prompted to select a method for resetting your password. You can choose to receive a password reset link via email, text message, or phone call.
  6. Follow the prompts to complete the password reset process.

How to log into UCR email

To log into UCR email, follow these steps:

  1. Open your web browser and go to the UCR email login page: https://outlook.office.com/ucr.edu/.
  2. Enter your full UCR email address in the “Email or Phone” field (for example, username@ucr.edu).
  3. Click the “Next” button.
  4. Enter your UCR NetID password in the “Password” field.
  5. Click the “Sign In” button.
