The Current Podcast is the official podcast of UC San Diego IT Services. You can also subscribe on Spotify, Soundcloud, Stitcher, Podbean, Google Podcast, and Apple Podcasts!
UCSD’s podcasting service was established for instructional use to benefit students. Podcasts are taken down at the end of every quarter (10 weeks Fall-Spring and 5 weeks in the summer).

If you’re enjoying a podcast, be sure to subscribe and download the lectures. Once the podcast has been taken offline, faculty rarely approve their reposting.
How to listen to ucsd podcast
To access ucsd podcast on lectures;
- Visit Podcast.ucsd.edu.
- Select a class or use the search bar to search for a podcast.
- The most recent lecture with available recordings will start playing automatically.
- You can right-click Download to download the file to your computer, where you can play it on any media player.
What is a podcast?
A podcast is a series of recordings that you can download to a computer, smartphone, or any media player for later use. You can even automatically download new lectures as they are posted by subscribing within a podcast player app.
With podcasts, you can choose the content and form that fits your particular lesson, and the possibilities are endless: fictional stories, educational and inspirational TED talks, current events/world news, history, sports, pop culture/entertainment, and investigative journalism.
Podcasts can easily be used in schools, universities, or colleges to engage students, and improve your teaching and learning practice.
UCSD Podcast is free, there are no charges to faculty or students.
