SAIT Important Dates and Deadlines 2024-2025: Academic Calendar

SAIT academic calendar is based on a standard 15-week semester that begins on the term start date. Below are the SAIT important dates for the winter, Spring, and Summer semesters of 2024.

Here are the SAIT important dates and deadlines for the winter 2024 calendar.

1. SAIT Calendar Winter 2024 add/drop period begins for most full-time programs on January 2, 2024.
2. Orientation week is scheduled for January 3, to January 5, 2024.
3. SAIT Winter 2024 classes start on January 8, 2024.
4. The tuition payment deadline for continuing students only is January 19, 2024.
5. The final day to apply for transfer credit or recognition of prior learning for the winter term and receive a tuition refund (most full-time programs) is January 19, 2024.
6. The add/drop period ends for most full-time programs on January 19, 2024.
7. The tuition and fee payment deadline for accepted students starting Feb. 20, 2023 (check your program page for your start date) is January 24, 2024.
8. The tuition and fee payment deadline for accepted students starting Feb. 26, 2023 (check your program page for your start date) is January 31, 2024.
9. SAIT Family Day is February 19, 2024. There are no classes, and the campus is closed, according to the SAIT holidays calendar 2024..
10. SAIT Reading Week 2024 is scheduled for Monday, February 19, 2024, to Friday, February 23, 2024. Classes resume on Monday, February 26, 2024, after the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology Reading Week.
11. Self-registration opens for Spring 2024 programs on February 20, to February 23, 2024.
12. The tuition and fee payment deadline for accepted students starting March 18, 2024 (check your program page for your start date) is February 21, 2024.
13. The Winter 2024 conferral is scheduled for February 23, 2024.
14. The tuition and fee payment deadline for accepted students starting March 25, 2024 (check your program page for your start date) is February 28, 2024.
15. Transfer credit and recognition of prior learning applications open for the spring term on March 1, 2024.
16. The tuition and fee payment deadline for accepted students starting April 2, 2024 (check your program page for your start date) is March 6, 2024.
17. Open House is scheduled for March 9, 2024.
18. Winter withdrawal deadline for 15-week courses is March 15, 2024.

20. SAIT Easter Break 2024 is from Friday, April 29, 2024, to Monday, April 1, 2024. Classes resume on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
21. The final transcript deadline for spring term applicants is April 1, 2024.
22. The tuition payment deadline for accepted students only is April 10, 2024.
23. Final exam week is scheduled for April 22, to April 26, 2024.
24. The tuition and fee payment deadline for accepted students starting May 21, 2024 (check your program page for your start date) is April 24, 2024.

Here are the SAIT important dates and deadlines for the Spring/Summer 2024 calendar.

1. Spring 2024 classes commence on January 6, 2024.
2. The tuition payment deadline for continuing students only is January 17, 2024.
3. The final day to apply for transfer credit or recognition of prior learning for the spring term and receive a tuition refund (most full-time programs) is January 17, 2024.
4. The add/drop period ends for most full-time programs on January 17, 2024.
5. Victoria Day – Institute closed: May 20, 2024.
6. Self-registration opens for Summer 2024 programs on May 22, 2024.
7. Transfer credit and recognition of prior learning applications open for the summer term on June 1, 2024.
8. The final transcript deadline for summer term applicants is June 1, 2024.
9. The tuition payment deadline for accepted students only is June 5, 2024.
10. The SAIT spring 2024 convocation is scheduled for June 11, to June 13, 2024.
11. Applications open for Spring 2025 on June 12, 2024, according to the SAIT important dates 2024-2025.
12. Self-registration opens for Fall 2024 programs on June 17-21, 2024.
13. Canada Day is July 1, 2024, there are no classes, according to SAIT holidays calendar 2024.
14. Transfer credit and recognition of prior learning applications are open for the July 1, 2024 fall term.
15. The summer semester commences on July 2, 2024.
16. The summer add/drop period begins for most full-time programs on July 2, 2024.
17. The tuition payment deadline for continuing students only is July 12, 2024.
18. The final day to apply for transfer credit or recognition of prior learning for the summer term and receive a tuition refund (most full-time programs) is July 12, 2024.

25. Final exam week for 15-week Spring courses starting May 9 is scheduled for August 12-16, 2024.
26. The end of the spring term is on August 16, 2024.
27. The end of the summer term is on August 23, 2024.
