The University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM), also known as U of T Mississauga, is a satellite campus of the University of Toronto located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

UTM important dates fall 2023

These are the UTM important dates on the UTM academic calendar for fall 2023.

1. November Convocation request period is from June 21, 2023, to September 6, 2023, during which students may withdraw their graduation request.
2. The course enrolment start time for Year 4/5 students is posted on June 23, 2023.
3. Course enrolment for Year 4/5 students with 14.0 or more credits begins on June 28, 2023.
4. The course enrolment start time for Year 3 students is posted on June 29, 2023.
5. Course enrolment for Year 3 students with 9.0 – 13.5 credits begins on July 6, 2023.
6. The course enrolment start time for Year 2 students is posted on July 7, 2023.
7. Course enrolment for Year 2 students with 4.0 – 8.5 credits begins on July 13, 2023.
8. The course enrolment start time for Year 1 students is posted on July 14, 2023.
9. Course enrolment for Year 1 students with 0 – 3.5 credits begins on July 19, 2023.
10. The course enrolment limit increases from 5.0 credits to 6.0 credits on July 26, 2023, at 6 AM.
11. Courses with priority enrolment controls open on July 26, 2023, at 6 AM.
12. The request period to submit the Course Enrolment Exception Form with an approved Course Overload Petition for F and Y courses is from July 26, 2023, to September 19, 2023, with a deadline at 4 PM.
13. The deadline for visiting students to apply for F & Y courses is August 1, 2023.
14. Course enrolment begins for non-degree and visiting students on August 2, 2023.
15. The request period to enroll in a repeated F or Y course using the Course Enrolment Exception Form is from August 2, 2023, to September 19, 2023, with a deadline at 4 PM.
16. Course enrolment at other campuses opens to all U of T students on August 4, 2023, at 6 AM, allowing UTM students to add St. George/UTSC courses and vice versa.
17. The deadline to pay the minimum amount to register is on August 16, 2023.
18. Students who made their first tuition payment between August 17, 2023, and August 30, 2023, must submit the Proof of Payment Form on AskRegistrar or use the Fee Deferral Form by August 30.
19. The financial cancellation date is on August 31, 2023, which removes students from classes if they do not have a registered status on ACORN.
20. The late registration period for F & Y courses, costing $45 plus $6 for each additional weekday, is from September 1, 2023, to September 19, 2023.
21. Labor Day falls on September 4, 2023, and the university remains closed.
22. The deadline to cancel Fall-Winter registration without incurring any charges is on September 5, 2023.
23. Classes commence for F & Y courses on September 6, 2023.
24. The deadline to confirm or withdraw graduation requests for November Convocation on ACORN is on September 6, 2023.
25. The waitlist for F & Y courses ends on September 19, 2023.
26. September 19, 2023, marks the last day to add or change a section in an F or Y course on ACORN.
27. For students paying course fees, September 19, 2023, is the last day to drop F and/or Y courses on ACORN and receive a 100% course fee refund, provided they are still registered in other courses for this session.
28. For students paying deregulated program fees (including BCOM degrees), September 19, 2023, is the last day to cancel all courses and registration to receive a 100% program fee refund, minus the minimum charge.
29. For students in a BCOM degree and paying deregulated program fees, September 19, 2023, is the last day to drop from full to part-time status and receive a 100% program fee refund, with per-course fees applied.
30. For students in deregulated programs (excluding BCOM degrees), September 19, 2023, is the last day to drop F & Y courses before the Fall Term course load is locked in for determining program fee or per-course billing. Courses dropped after this deadline will still count towards the Fall Term course load.
31. The first day to request a Second Attempt for Credit for F or Y courses is on September 20, 2023.
32. September 20, 2023, marks the first day to request or cancel Credit/No Credit on ACORN for F or Y courses.
33. For students paying course fees, September 26, 2023, is the last day to drop an F course and receive a 75% course fee refund.
34. Thanksgiving Day falls on October 9, 2023, and the university remains closed.
35. Reading Week is scheduled from October 10, 2023, to October 13, 2023.
36. For students paying course fees, October 11, 2023, is the last day to drop a Y course and receive a 75% course fee refund.
37. October 11, 2023, is also the last day for students paying course fees to drop an F course and receive a 50% course fee refund.
38. Monthly service charges are applied to all accounts with outstanding Fall term balances from October 15, 2023, until fees are paid in full.
39. The deadline to apply for a Letter of Permission to study at another Canadian university in the Winter Term is on November 1, 2023.
40. November 6, 2023, marks the deadline to drop an F course from the academic record and GPA.
41. For students paying course fees, November 8, 2023, is the last day to drop a Y course and receive a 50% course fee refund.
42. The June Convocation request period is from November 14, 2023, to January 31, 2024, during which students may withdraw their graduation request.
43. The deadline to pay Winter term fees in full to avoid service charges is on November 30, 2023, for students who registered through payment (no deferral) for the Fall/Winter session.
44. November 30, 2023, is also the last day for students registered in the S term only to pay the minimum amount of tuition fees as indicated on the ACORN invoice.
45. The deadline for visiting students to apply for S courses is on December 1, 2023.
46. For students studying in the S term only, if payment of fees is made between December 1, 2023, and December 11, 2023, they must submit the Proof of Payment Form on AskRegistrar to avoid being removed from classes.
47. The deadline to request or cancel Credit/No Credit on ACORN for F courses taken at UTSC is on December 4, 2023.
48. December 4, 2023, is also the deadline to request Late Withdrawal (LWD) for F courses at UTSC.
49. F classes end, and Y classes break for holidays on December 5, 2023.
50. December 5, 2023, is the deadline to submit/cancel a Second Attempt for Credit request for F courses.
51. The deadline to request or cancel Credit/No Credit on ACORN for F courses taken at UTM with a final exam is on December 5, 2023. If there is no final exam, the request must be made or cancelled by the deadline or before the last assessment is due in the course, whichever date comes first.
52. A study break is scheduled on December 6, 2023.
53. The final exam period is set to take place from December 7, 2023, to December 20, 2023.
54. The deadline to request or cancel Credit/No Credit on ACORN for F courses taken at St. George is on December 7, 2023.
55. December 7, 2023, is also the deadline to request Late Withdrawal (LWD) for F courses at St. George.
56. Registration will be canceled for students who have not paid or deferred their fees if enrolled in S courses only, by December 12, 2023. Accounts not showing a “Registered” status on ACORN will result in removal from classes.
57. The late registration period for S courses, incurring a fee of $45 plus $6 for each additional weekday, is from December 13, 2023, to January 19, 2024. This applies to students who need to reinstate their registration after being removed from courses for non-payment of fees or for those who enroll in S courses for the first time as of December 13.
58. Students who registered for the Fall/Winter session through payment (no deferral) will begin incurring monthly service charges on outstanding Winter term balances from December 15, 2023. Note that service charges may vary for students deferred due to a scholarship/award or those receiving a tuition waiver.
59. UTM Winter break 2023 starts from December 21, 2023, and the university remains closed until January 2, 2024.

UTM important dates winter 2024

These are the UTM important dates on the UTM academic calendar for winter 2024.

1. Exam Contingency Day is on January 6, 2024.
2. The deadline to cancel registration (withdraw from all courses) with no minimum charge if registered in S courses only is on January 7, 2024.
3. Y courses resume and S courses begin on January 8, 2024.
4. The waitlist for S courses ends on January 21, 2024.
5. January 21, 2024, is the last day to add or change a section in an S course on ACORN.
6. For students paying course fees, January 21, 2024, is the last day to drop an S course on ACORN and receive a 100% course fee refund, provided they are still registered in other courses for this session.
7. For students in a BCOM degree and paying deregulated program fees, January 21, 2024, is the last day to drop from full to part-time status and receive a 50% program fee refund, along with being charged 50% of the deregulated per course fees according to their credit weight during the Fall/Winter Session. After this date, if they drop from full-time to part-time, no refund is received.
8. For students in deregulated programs (excluding BCOM degrees), January 21, 2024, is the last day to drop S courses before the Winter Term course load is locked in for the purpose of determining program fee or per course billing. S courses dropped after this deadline will still count towards the Winter Term course load. Per course fee billing eligibility requires the Fall Term course load (locked in as of September 19, 2023) and Winter Term course load (locked in as of January 21, 2024) to total 3.5 credits or less.
9. The first day to request a Second Attempt for Credit for S courses is on January 22, 2024.
10. January 22, 2024, is also the first day to request or cancel Credit/No Credit on ACORN for S courses.
11. The last day to drop an S course and receive a 75% course fee refund for students paying course fees is on January 28, 2024.
12. The deadline to pay Winter term fees to avoid service charges (if deferred due to a loan or if registered by paying at least the minimum payment) is on January 31, 2024.
13. The last day to drop an S course and receive a 50% course fee refund for students paying course fees is on February 11, 2024.
14. Winter term service charges begin on outstanding Winter balances if deferred due to a loan or registered by paying the minimum payment, starting on February 15, 2024. Note: Service charge dates are different for students who deferred due to scholarship/award or received a tuition waiver.
15. Family Day, which causes the university to be closed, falls on February 19, 2024.
16. The deadline to drop a Y course from the academic record and GPA is on February 19, 2024.
17. Reading Week is scheduled from February 20, 2024, to February 23, 2024.
18. The deferred exam period for December exams is from February 20, 2024, to February 23, 2024.
19. The deadline to drop an S course from the academic record and GPA is on Monday, March 11, 2024.
20. Good Friday, leading to the closure of the university, is on Friday, March 29, 2024.
21. The deadline to apply for a Letter of Permission to study at another Canadian university in the Summer Session is on Monday, April 1, 2024.
22. Y and S courses conclude on Friday, April 5, 2024.
23. Friday, April 5, 2024, is the deadline to submit/cancel a Second Attempt for Credit request for Y & S courses.
24. The deadline to request or cancel Credit/No Credit on ACORN for Y & S courses taken at UTM with a final exam is on Friday, April 5, 2024. If there is no final exam, the request must be made or canceled by the deadline or before the last assessment is due in the course (whichever date comes first).
25. The deadline to request Late Withdrawal (LWD) for Y & S courses taken at UTM is on Friday, April 5, 2024.
26. A Make-up Day is scheduled on Monday, April 8, 2024.
27. Monday, April 8, 2024, is the deadline to request or cancel Credit/No Credit on ACORN for Y & S courses taken at St. George.
28. Monday, April 8, 2024, is the deadline to request or cancel Credit/No Credit on ACORN for Y & S courses taken at UTSC.
29. Monday, April 8, 2024, is the deadline to request Late Withdrawal (LWD) for Y & S courses at UTSC.
30. Monday, April 8, 2024, is also the deadline to request Late Withdrawal (LWD) for Y & S courses at St. George.
31. Tuesday, April 9, 2024, to Wednesday, April 10, 2024, is the scheduled study break.
32. The final exam period is from Thursday, April 11, 2024, to Tuesday, April 25, 2024.
33. Exam Contingency Day is on Friday, April 26, 2024.
34. The deferred exam period for S & Y exams is from Monday, April 29, 2024, to Friday, May 3, 2024.
35. The deadline for all students to pay their outstanding fees for the Fall-Winter session is on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
36. The deadline for graduating students to submit their proof of payment for outstanding fees and to clear financial/administrative holds is also on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
