The Belmont academic calendar 2023-2024 is a roadmap for Belmont University students’ academic journey. It outlines the important dates and deadlines throughout the year so students can stay on track and graduate on time.

The academic calendar is divided into three semesters: Fall, Spring, and Summer. The Fall semester begins in August and ends in December. The Spring semester begins in January and ends in May. The Summer semester begins in May and ends in August.

Each semester is made up of a series of weeks. Students attend classes each week, take exams, and complete assignments. The number of weeks in each semester varies, but most semesters are 15 weeks long.

For your convenience, we have compiled a list of essential dates and deadlines from the Belmont academic calendar for fall 2023. Please note these important dates to ensure a successful academic year.

1. Belmont Classfinder is LIVE for FALL 2023 Semester on February 24, 2023.
2. Fall 2023 Graduate Registration Begins on March 27, 2023. Undergraduate Registration begins the next day, March 28, 2023.
3. Registration for Fall 2023 Closes on July 13, 2023. Check out myBelmont Login Guide.
4. The Last Day to apply for Fall 2023 Semester Leave of Absence is August 3, 2023. New Faculty Orientation is from Wednesday, August 2, to Friday, August 4, 2023.
5. Fall Faculty Workshop is on Monday, August 14, 2023, from 8:30 am to 1:15 pm.
6. Teaching Center Workshops are on Monday, August 14, and Tuesday, August 15, 2023, according to Belmont academic calendar.
7. Graduate Registration Opens on Friday, August 18, 2023.
8. Belmont Fall 2023 Welcome Week is from Friday, August 18, to Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
9. Fall Orientation Session is on Monday, August 21, 2023.
10. Undergraduate Registration Begins and Drop/Add Begins on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
11. Belmont Fall 2023 classes start on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. It is the First Day of Classes for the Fall semester.
12. Opening Convocation is on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 10:00 am.

20. The Fall 2023 semester Mid-Point is Wednesday, October 11, 2023.
21. Mid-Term Grades Due on Friday, October 13, 2023.
22. Faculty Sabbatical/Study Leave Application Due on Monday, October 16, 2023.
23. Belmont Fall Break 2023 is on Monday, October 16, and Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Classes resume on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, after the Belmont University Fall Break 2023.
24. Graduation Application for May 2024 Deadline is Monday, October 23, 2023.
25. The last day to Withdraw from a course or University with a grade of “WP” or “WF” is Monday, November 6, 2023.
26. Belmont Thanksgiving Break 2023 is from Wednesday, November 22, to Friday, November 24, 2023. Classes resume on Monday, November 27, 2023.
27. The last Day of Class is on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
28. Academic Preparation Days are on Wednesday, December 6, and Thursday, December 7, 2023, according to Belmont academic calendar 2023-2024.
29. Belmont Fall 2023 Final Exams are on Friday, December 8, Monday, December 11, to Thursday, December 14, 2023.
30. Belmont Winter break 2023 is from Friday, December 15, 2023, to Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
31. Belmont Fall 2023 Graduation and Commencement Ceremony is on Friday, December 15, 2023.
32. Final Grades are Due at noon CST on Monday, December 18, 2023.

Belmont Move-In Day 2023

Belmont move-in day 2023 is from Thursday, August 17, 2023, to Monday, August 21, 2023.

Get ready for an exciting start to your journey at Belmont University! Fall 2023 Move-In Days are just around the corner, spanning from Thursday, August 17, 2023, to Monday, August 21. Belmont University wants to make your move-in experience as smooth as possible, so all students must come on their assigned day and time.

First-year and transfer students move-in day

Freshman and Transfer Students will have their Move-In Days from Thursday, August 17, to Saturday, August 19, 2023. On Thursday, August 17, Belmont University will welcome students to Patton Hall/Bear House, Thrailkill Hall (Freshmen Only), and Wright Hall. 

The following Friday, August 18, Belmont will be ready to greet students moving into Potter Hall, Kennedy Hall, and Maddox Hall. 

For transfer students in Tall, Caldwell, Horrell, Dickens, Russell, Hillside, and Belmont Commons, your designated Move-In Day is also on Friday, August 18. 

Lastly, on Saturday, August 19, the University will welcome students to Hail Hall, Heron Hall, and Pembroke Hall.

Returning Upperclassmen Students move-in day

For returning Upperclassmen Students, your Move-In Day is from Saturday, August 19, to Monday, August 21, 2023. On Saturday, August 19, Belmont will welcome residents of Caldwell Hall, Thrailkill Hall (Upperclassmen Only), and Dickens Hall (Floors 1, 3, 5 Only). 

The next day, Sunday, August 20, it’s time for Tall Hall, Hillside Apartments, and Dickens Hall (Floors 2 & 4 Only) residents to settle in. 

Lastly, on Monday, August 21, Belmont University will be ready to welcome Russell Hall, Horrell Hall, and Belmont Commons residents.

Belmont has assigned specific move-in times for each student to ensure a hassle-free move-in. You’ll receive your designated move-in time when you receive your move-in day packet in July, according to Belmont academic calendar 2023-2024. 

Arriving at your assigned move-in time is crucial to ensure our staff is fully prepared to assist you, providing you with the best move-in experience possible.

6. Graduate Registration Opens on Monday, January 8, 2024.
7. Spring Orientation Session is on Monday, January 8, 2024.

9. Belmont Spring 2024 classes start on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. It is the First Day of Classes in the Spring semester. 
10. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday is Monday, January 15, 2024. There are no classes.
11. The Last Day of Registration/Schedule Changes is Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
12. The Last Day to Drop with a Refund is Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
13. The First Day to Withdraw with a Grade of “W” is Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
14. The Last Day to Withdraw with a Grade of “W” is Monday, February 13, 2024.
