CSUF Academic Calendar 2023-2024: Important Dates and Deadlines

The California State University, Fullerton CSUF Academic Calendar 2023-2024 shows the beginning and ending dates of semesters, holidays, and contains important dates for registration, fees, graduation, and other academic deadlines. CSUF operates a semester-based academic calendar.

CSUF academic calendar fall 2023

Check out the important dates and deadlines on the CSUF academic calendar for Fall semester of 2023.

1. TITAN Registration – Registration and Change of Program by class level begins from April 17, 2023 to August 18, 2023.
2. CSUF Fall quarter starts on Wednesday, August 17, 2023. The 2023-2024 academic year begins.
3. CSUF move-in day 2023 is Thursday, August 17, 2023 and Friday, August 18, 2023. Other instructions will be communicated to you via your CSUF email.
4. Friday, August 18, 2023 is the last day to register without paying $25 late fee. It is also the last day for full refund of resident and non-resident mandatory fees.
5. CSUF Fall 2023 classes start on Saturday, August 19, 2023. It is the first day of fall 2023 classes..
6. Add/Drop is on August 19, 2023 via TITAN Online. No signatures required to add or drop most classes.
7. August 27, 2023 is the last day students will be enrolled from waitlist.
8. Department-issued registration permit to register and add all classes is from August 28, 2023 to September 5, 2023. Registration is through TITAN Online. All permits issued in week two expire at midnight; Tuesday, September 4 according to CSUF academic calendar 2023-2024.
9. September 3, 2023 is the deadline to file online graduation check application for Fall 2023 bachelor’s degree candidates.
10. Labor Day Holiday is Monday, September 4, 2023 on the CSUF academic calendar 2023-2024. Campus is closed.
11. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 is the;
    • Last day of late registration with $25 late fee. Last day to add most classes with registration permit through TITAN Online.
    • Last day to declare audit and grading basis.
    • Last day to drop classes without a grade of “W”.
    • Last day for refund if status is reduced from full-time to part-time (6 or fewer units).
    • All permits issued during the first and second week of classes EXPIRE at midnight.
    • Last day for Excess Units approval for graduating seniors.
12. CSUF Students should submit the online Late Add Request to add classes with a $20 Late Add fee on September 6, 2023. Students submit the Online Withdrawal Request to drop classes with a ‘W’ grade on the same day.
13. September 11, 2023 is the deadline to file online graduation check application for Fall 2023 master’s and doctorate degree candidates.
14. Census date is September 18, 2023 on the CSUF academic calendar 2023-2024. It is also the last day for Excess Unit approval for graduating seniors.
15. The last day to submit a Late Add Request with a $20 Late Add fee is September 18, 2023. It is also the last day for departments to approve undergraduates’ candidacy for Fall 2023.
16. The last day to apply for graduation to receive priority registration Sunday, October 1, 2023.
17. The initial period for filing application for admission to the fall 2024 semester begins on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
18. October 15, 2023 is the last day for undergraduate students to pay $115 graduation fee for fall 2023.
19. October 27, 2023 is the last day to receive a pro-rated refund of mandatory fees for complete withdrawal from classes.
20. Veterans Day holiday is Friday, November 10, 2023.
21. Final deadline to submit a withdrawal request from classes with a grade of “W” for serious and compelling reasons is November 13, 2023 according to the CSUF academic calendar 2023-2024.
22. CSUF Fall break 2023 is from Monday, November 20, 2023, to Sunday, November 26, 2023. It is also CSUF Thanksgiving break for 2023. Classes resume on Monday, November 26, 2023.
23. The final deadline to submit a withdrawal request of “W” for medical reasons is December 1, 2023.
24. Friday, December 8, 2023 is the last day of classes for Fall semester 2023.
25. Fall semester 2023 examinations is from Saturday, December 9, 2023, to Friday, December 15, 2023.
26. Fall 2023 semester ends on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
27. Fall semester 2023 grades are due on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 in in Titan Online Student Center.
28. CSUF graduation date for those completing requirements is Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

CSUF academic calendar Winter Session 2023

1. Winter Session A classes begin on Saturday, December 17, 2022.
2. Winter break is from Monday, December 26, 2022 to Monday, January 2, 2023.
3. New Year’s Holiday is on Monday, January 2, 2023.
4. Winter Session B classes begin on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
5. Monday, January 16 2023 is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Holiday.
6. Winter Session 2023 classes end on Monday, January 20 2023.
7. Winter Session grades are due on Friday, January 27 2023.

Check out the important dates and deadlines on the CSUF academic calendar for Spring semester of 2023.

1. CSUF Spring Semester begins on Tuesday January 17 2023.
2. Spring classes begin on Saturday, January 21 2023.
3. January 29 2023 is the last day students will be enrolled from waitlist.

10. March 1 2023 is the Deadline to apply for graduation to receive priority fall 2022 registration.
11. March 18 2023 is the last day for undergraduate students to pay $115 graduation fee for May 2023.
12. CSUF Spring break 2023 is from Monday, March 27 2023 to Sunday, April 2 2023.
13. Cesar Chavez Day Holiday is Friday, March 31 2023.
14. Classes resume on Monday, April 3 2023.
15. April 6 2023 is the Last day to receive a pro-rated refund of mandatory fees for complete withdrawal from classes.
16. April 22 2023 is the Final deadline to submit a withdrawal request from classes with a grade of ‘W’ for a serious non-medical reason.
17. May 6 2023 is the Final deadline to submit a withdrawal request of ‘W’ for medical reasons.
18. Friday, May 12 2023 is the last day of classes.
19. Spring semester examinations period is Saturday, May 14 2023 – Friday, May 20 2023.
20. Graduation or Commencement activities period is from Monday, May 22 2023 to Thursday, May 25 2023.
21. Spring semester 2023 ends on Friday, May 26 2023.
22. Spring 2023 grades available in Titan Online Student Center, as processed on Friday, May 26 2023.
