The Lehigh Academic Calendar 2023-2024 provides all holidays, semester breaks, commencement, semester start/end dates, course registration, withdrawal dates, other important dates, and deadlines.

Lehigh University follows a semester system divided into two regular terms: Fall and Spring, and two additional terms: Winter and Summer.

Each regular semester (Fall and Spring) at Lehigh University is typically around 14 weeks long and consists of 70 individual days of instruction. This format ensures students receive a comprehensive and well-structured education within the designated timeframes.

In addition to the Fall and Spring semesters, Lehigh University offers a Winter and a Summer term. These terms provide students with opportunities for accelerated coursework, specialized programs, internships, or study abroad experiences.

1. Fall 2023 Registration Period is Monday, April 17, to Thursday, April 20, 2023.
2. Lehigh fall 2023 classes start on Monday, August 28, 2023. It is the first day of class.
3. The last day for online registration without instructor permission is Friday, September 1, 2023.
4. The last day to add online with instructor permission and drop online without a W is Friday, September 8, 2023.
5. The deadline to select or cancel Pass/Fail grading is Friday, September 15, 2023.
6. Common Hour Exams will be held from Monday, September 25, to Thursday, October 5, 2023.
7. The deadline to apply for January graduation is Sunday, October 1, 2023.
8. Midterm grades are due on Friday, October 13, 2023.
9. Lehigh Pacing Break 2023 will be observed on Monday, October 16, 2023. At Lehigh University, a pacing break is a scheduled break that marks the halfway point of the semester.
10. Common Hour Exams will be held from Monday, October 30, to Thursday, November 9, 2023.
11. Civic Engagement Day will take place on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. No classes are held.
12. The last day for January doctoral and master’s candidates to deliver dissertations or thesis drafts to Graduate Programs Office is Friday, November 10, 2023.
13. The last day to withdraw with a W is Friday, November 10, 2023.
14. The deadline to sign up to remain on campus for Thanksgiving Break 2023 is Wednesday, November 15, 2023.  
15. Lehigh Thanksgiving Break 2023 will be observed from Wednesday, November 22, to Friday, November 24, 2023. Classes resume on Monday, November 27, 2023.
16. The last day for in-class exams is Friday, December 1, 2023.
17. The last day of class is Friday, December 8, 2023.
18. The last day for January doctoral and master’s candidates to upload dissertations or thesis and deliver final paperwork to RAS is Friday, December 8, 2023.
19. Review/Consultation Days (RCS) will be from Saturday, December 9, to Monday, December 11, 2023.
20. The Fall 2023 final exam is scheduled from Tuesday, December 12, to Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
21. Lehigh Winter Break 2023 is from Thursday, December 21, 2023, to Sunday, January 21, 2024.
22. Fall 2023 grades are due on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 08:30 am.
23. Degrees Awarded will take place on Sunday, January 21, 2024.

Lehigh move in day 2023

Lehigh move-in day 2023 from Wednesday, August 23, 2023, to Sunday, August 27, 2023.

Fraternities & Sororities move in on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, by 9:00 am. First-Year Students move into Residence Halls on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. This day is specifically designated for freshmen to settle into their new living spaces.

Upper-class Students have their move-in day scheduled from Saturday, August 26, 2023, to Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. These dates are allocated for returning students to move into residence halls.

Lehigh University ensures a smooth transition for its students by providing designated move-in days for various groups, allowing them to settle in comfortably and start their academic journey positively.

2. Residence Halls open for women approved to participate in Sorority Recruitment on Monday, January 15, 2024, by 9:00 am.
3. Residence Halls and Fraternities open on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 9:00 am. The spring 2024 move-in date for Newly Assigned Spring Students is Saturday, January 20, 2024.
4. Lehigh Spring 2024 classes start on Monday, January 22, 2024. It is the first day of class.
5. The last day for online registration without instructor permission is Friday, January 26, 2024.
6. The last day to add online with instructor permission and to drop online without a W is Friday, February 2, 2024.
7. The deadline to apply for May graduation is Thursday, February 1, 2024.
