The CCNY Academic Calendar has key dates, such as registration periods, holidays, semester breaks, exam schedules, other important dates, and deadlines.

A CCNY student must register for at least twelve credits to be full-time.

Here are the important dates and deadlines on the CCNY academic calendar calendar for winter 2024.

1. The last day to file an e-Permit request for the Winter Session is Tuesday, December 26, 2023.
2. The final day to join the waitlist for Winter 2024 courses, drop a course for a 100% tuition refund, and the last day of Registration is Monday, January 1, 2024.
3. Tuesday, January 2, 2024, marks the beginning of the Winter Session, with classes commencing. It is also the deadline to drop a course for a 50% tuition refund, add a course, and withdraw without receiving a ‘WD’ grade. Additionally, it is the Financial Aid Certification Enrollment Status Date.
4. Verification of Enrollment Rosters becomes available in CUNYFirst Faculty Self-Service on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. The Course Withdrawal drop period also begins on this day, assigning a ‘WD’ grade to students who officially drop a class. It is also the final day to submit a request for Independent Study.
5. The last opportunity to drop a course for a 25% tuition refund, the Census date for the Winter Session, and the final day to drop without receiving a ‘W’ grade is Thursday, January 4, 2024. Furthermore, the Course Withdrawal drop period concludes on this day, and ‘WD’ grades will no longer be assigned. Faculty must submit Verification of Enrollment Rosters.
6. Students who drop courses are responsible for 100% tuition obligations, and ‘WN’ grades are assigned for non-attendance on Friday, January 5, 2024. The Course Withdrawal period begins, and a ‘W’ grade is assigned to officially dropped classes without any refund.
7. Monday, January 15, 2024, is Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, a college-closed day, and represents the 60% date for the Winter Session.
8. Friday, January 19, 2024 is the final day to file for the Pass/No Credit (P/NC) option.
9. Monday, January 22, 2024 marks the end of the Course Withdrawal period and is the last day to withdraw from a class with a ‘W’ grade.
10. Tuesday, January 23, 2024 is when Final Examinations take place, marking the end of the Winter Session.
11. Wednesday, January 24, 2024 is the Final Grade Submission Deadline for the Winter Session.
12. Winter Session 2024 Degree Conferral Date is Thursday, February 1, 2024.

CCNY academic calendar spring 2024

Here are the important dates and deadlines on the CCNY academic calendar calendar for spring 2024.

1. CCNY Application for degree for Spring 2024 begins on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
2. The last day to apply for Study Abroad is Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
3. Thursday, January 18, 2024, is the deadline to file ePermit request for Spring 2024, including Kingsborough, LaGuardia & Guttman CC Spring Session I & Spring Session II.
4. Wednesday, January 24, 2024, marks the last day of Registration; it is also the last day to join the waitlist for Spring 2024 courses and the last day to drop classes for a 100% tuition refund.
5. CCNY Spring 2024 Term starts on Thursday, January 25, 2024, and classes commence on the same day.
6. The change of program period, during which late fees apply, takes place from Thursday, January 25, to Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
7. Friday, January 26, 2024, is the final day to submit a request for Independent Study.
8. Saturday, January 27, 2024, marks the first day of Saturday Classes.
9. Wednesday, January 31, 2024, is the last day to add a class to an existing enrollment, the last day for a 75% tuition refund, the Financial Aid Certification Enrollment Status date, the last day to apply for the Audit option, and the last day to drop without the grade of ‘WD’.
10. Verification of Enrollment rosters becomes available to faculty on Thursday, February 1, 2024, and the Course Withdrawal drop period begins on the same day (A grade of ‘WD’ is assigned to students who officially drop a class).
11. Wednesday, February 7, 2024, is the last day to drop for a 50% tuition refund.
12. The college is closed on Monday, February 12, 2024.
13. Wednesday, February 14, 2024, is the last day for a 25% tuition refund; it is also the Census date – Form-A cutoff, the last day to change or declare a major/minor to be effective in Spring 2024, the last day to drop without the grade of ‘W’, and the end of the Course Withdrawal period (Last day for ‘WD’ grades); Verification of Enrollment Rosters are due from Faculty on this day.
14. Thursday, February 15, 2024, marks the 100% Tuition obligation for course drops; the Course Withdrawal period also begins on this day (A grade of ‘W’ is assigned to students who officially drop a class) – No refund; it is also the assignment of ‘WN’ grades for non-attendance.
15. The college is closed on Monday, February 19, 2024.
16. Classes follow a Monday schedule on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
17. The last day to submit proof of immunization for NYS residents and the deadline for filing an application for the degree for Spring 2024 is Friday, February 23, 2024.
18. ‘WA’ Grades are assigned – Immunization non-compliance on Saturday, February 24, 2024.
19. Classes follow a Monday schedule on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.
20. Advising month begins for Summer and Fall enrollment on Friday, March 1, 2024.
21. The last day to submit proof of immunization for non-NYS residents is Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
22. Friday, March 15, 2024, is the FAFSA priority date.
23. There are no classes scheduled from Friday, March 29, to Sunday, March 31, 2024.
24. Sunday, March 31, 2024, is the R2T4 60% Date of the term.
25. Registration appointments for Fall 2024 begin for continuing students on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Students are advised to check their CUNYFirst account for their appointment date and time.
26. INC grades for Fall 2023 will convert to FIN for Undergraduate students, and INC grades for Winter 2023 and Spring 2023 convert to FIN for Graduate students on Friday, April 5, 2024.
27. CCNY Spring Break 2024 takes place from Monday, April 22, to Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Classes resume after the The City College of New York Spring break 2024.
28. The last day to file for the P/NC option is Friday, May 10, 2024.
29. Saturday, May 11, 2024, marks the last day of Saturday Classes.
30. Wednesday, May 15, 2024, is the last day of Classes; it also signifies the end of the Course withdrawal period. It is the last day to withdraw from a course with a grade of ‘W’.
31. Final Examinations take place from Thursday, May 16, to Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
32. The Spring 2024 Term ends on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
33. The college is closed on Monday, May 27, 2024.
34. Tuesday, May 28, 2024, is the Final Grade Submission Deadline for Spring 2024.
35. Friday, May 31, 2024, is the date for CCNY graduation 2024 and Commencement activities. Spring 2024 Degree Conferral Date is Saturday, June 1, 2024.
