RPI academic calendar important dates and deadlines.

Check the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, RPI Academic Calendar 2021-2022 and schedule. These include important dates and deadlines. Registration for the Spring semester occurs in early November and registration for the Fall semester occurs the preceding Spring, usually in early April.

RPI academic calendar fall 2021

  1. RPI Fall semester begins on August 30, 2021.
  2. September 13, 2021 is the last day for graduate and undergraduate students to add courses, change sections or to put courses on audit. Deadline for completion of NE/I grade expectations related to Spring 2021 courses.
  3. October 8, 2021 deadline to file an on-line Degree Application via RPI SIS with Registrar’s Office for December 31, 2021 graduation.
  4. RPI Reunion and Homecoming 2021 is from October 8, 2021 – October 9, 2021.
  5. Family Weekend is October 15, 2021 – October 17, 2021
  6. October 22, 2021 is the last day for undergraduate and graduate students to drop a course.
  7. October 25, 2021 – November 5, 2021 is consultation weeks and advisement for Spring 2022 registration.
  8. November 12, 2021 is the last day for undergraduates to add or remove Pass/No Credit designation.
  9. Thanksgiving Break is from November 24, 2021 – November 26, 2021.
  10. Classes resume on November 29, 2021.
  11. December 10, 2021 is the last day of fall 2021 Classes. It is also the deadline for completion of NE/I grade expectations related to Summer 2021 courses.
  12. December 11, 2021 – December 14, 2021 is Reading/Study days. Instructors can schedule no exams nor require any student work expectations on these days.
  13. RPI Fall final Examinations starts from December 15, 2021 – December 21, 2021.
  14. On December 21 2021, residence halls close at noon. Resident dining halls also close after dinner.
  15. Winter recess begins on December 22, 2021.

RPI academic calendar spring 2022

  1. Pre-registration for the Spring 2022 semester opens for currently enrolled students on November 8, 2021 – November 22, 2021.
  2. Registration add/drop reopens for Spring 2022 on December 15, 2021.
  3. January 7, 2022 is Spring 2022 tuition and fees due.
  4. Resident dining halls open with dinner on January 9, 2022
  5. RPI Spring 2022 semester classes begin on January 10, 2022.
  6. January 17, 2022 is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Holiday.
  7. Classes resume after the holiday on January 18, 2022.
  8. January 21, 2022 is the deadline for graduate and undergraduate students to add courses, change sections or put courses on audit.
  9. February 21, 2022 is President’s Day. No classes.
  10. Classes resume on February 22, 2022. Follow a Monday schedule.
  11. March 4, 2022 is the last day to file Degree Applications online via RPI SIS for May 2022 graduation. The same day is the last day for undergraduates and graduate students to drop courses. Resident dining halls also close after dinner.
  12. RPI Spring Break 2022 is March 7, 2022 – March 11, 2022.
  13. On March 13 2022, Resident dining halls open with dinner.
  14. Classes resume after spring break on March 14, 2022.
  15. GM Week events is on March 23, 2022. No class day.
  16. April 15, 2022 is the last day for undergraduates to add or remove Pass/No Credit designation.
  17. April 27, 2022 is the last day of classes.
  18. From April 28, 2022 to May 1, 2022 is reading/Study days. Instructors can schedule no exams nor require any student work expectations on these days.
  19. Spring final examinations is from May 2, 2022 – May 6, 2022.
  20. Commencement is on May 21, 2022.
