UCF Academic Calendar 2024: Important Dates and Deadlines

The University of Central Florida, UCF Academic Calendar 2024 has important dates and deadlines you need to check out. UCF’s registration system allows students to enroll for the entire upcoming academic year (3 semesters).

During each academic semester, registration is held for all new, currently enrolled, degree-seeking, and nondegree-seeking students for the following term. Registration sessions consist of Registration and Late Registration (held during the first week of classes each term).

Multiple term registration begins following the mid-term of the spring semester for the following summer, fall, and spring terms. Class listings are available only online through the Class Schedule Search at my.ucf.edu. The dates and times for each registration period are included in the UCF Academic Calendar 2024.

UCF academic calendar fall 2023

On the UCF Fall 2023 calendar, UCF Fall semester begins on Thursday, August 17, 2023. Below are more important dates and deadlines on the UCF academic calendar for the fall semester of 2023.

1. UCF Fall 2023 Registration on myUCF is from Thursday, March 23, 2023, to Sunday, August 20, 2023. A $100 Late Payment Fee applies to students who do not pay their fees or do not pay their fees by the due date.
2. Fall 2023 registration for New Undergraduate Freshman Applicants begins on Monday, May 1, 2023.
3. UCF Graduation 2023 Application for Undergraduate Students is from Monday, June 26, 2023, to Friday, August 4, 2023. Online Intent to Graduate Form on myUCF. Graduation Application for Graduate Students is from Monday, June 26, 2023, to Friday, October 13, 2023.
4. Fall 2023 registration for New Undergraduate Transfers begins on Saturday, July 1, 2023.
5. Registration for Readmission is from Saturday, July 1, 2023.
6. Registration for Graduate Programs Without Deadline is Saturday, July 1, 2023.
7. UCF fall 2023 move-in day is from Thursday, August 17, 2023, to Sunday, August 20, 2023. On-Campus Housing Opens.
8. UCF fall 2023 classes start on Monday, August 21, 2023. It is the first day of classes for the fall semester of 2023.
9. Late Registration on myUCF is from Monday, August 21, 2023, to Friday, August 25, 2023, by 11:59 PM. 
10. The last day to Drop, and Request a Full Refund is Friday, August 25, 2023.
11. The drop/swap deadline on myUCF is Friday, August 25, 2023, by 11:59 AM.
12. Add Deadline on myUCF is Friday, August 25, 2023, by 11:59 PM.
13. The tuition and Fee Payment Deadline is Friday, September 1, 2023. A $100 Late Payment Fee applies to students who do not pay their fees or do not pay their fees by the due date.
14. Housing Payment is Due on Friday, September 1, 2023.
15. Labor Day holiday is Monday, September 4, 2023.
16. Financial Aid Deferral Deadline is Friday, October 27, 2023.
17. The Graduate Thesis/Dissertation Format Review Deadline is Friday, October 27, 2023.
18. The second installment of the Tuition Payment Plan Deadline is Friday, October 27, 2023.
19. The Last Day to Reinstate Drop for Nonpayment Classes Deadline is Friday, October 27, 2023, by 4:00 PM.
20. The withdrawal Deadline is Friday, October 27, 2023, by 11:59 PM.
21. Homecoming Game vs West Virginia University is on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
22. The Graduate Thesis/Dissertation Defense Deadline is Friday, November 17, 2023.
23. Thanksgiving break 2023 is from Thursday, November 23, 2023, to Saturday, November 25, 2023. Classes not held – Offices still open – Student Holiday Only.
24. Veterans Day (observed) is Friday, November 10, 2023.
25. Financial Aid Award/Adjustments Repayment Deadline for Course Withdrawal is Friday, December 1, 2023.
26. UCF classes end on Saturday, December 2, 2023. It is the Last Day to Remove Incomplete. Incomplete grades must be removed within one year of the award date before graduation from the University, whichever comes first, or else they will change to “F.”
27. The grade Forgiveness Deadline on myUCF (which ends at 11:59 p.m.) is Saturday, December 2, 2023. Students repeating a course this term must submit the grade forgiveness application by 11:59 p.m. on the grade forgiveness deadline.
28. The final examination period is from Monday, December 4, 2023, to
29. Saturday, December 9, 2023.
30. On-Campus Housing Closes on Sunday, December 10, 2023.
31. Grades are Due in myUCF (at 12 p.m.) on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, by 12:00 PM.
32. UCF commencement/Degree Conferral Date is Friday, December 15, 2023, to Saturday, December 16, 2023.
33. Grades will be processed as available and will be final at 9 a.m. on myUCF is Friday, December 15, 2023.

UCF academic calendar spring 2024

Here are important dates and deadlines on the UCF academic calendar for the Spring semester of 2024.

1. On-Campus Housing Opens from Saturday, January 6, 2024, to Sunday, January 7, 2024, at 9 a.m.
2. UCF Spring 2024 Classes start on Monday, January 8, 2024.
3. Faculty must confirm academic activity in each class from Monday, January 8, 2024, to Friday, January 12, 2024.
4. Late Registration is available from Monday, January 8, 2024, to Friday, January 12, 2024.
5. Late Registration ends on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. A $100 Late Registration Fee applies to students not enrolled by the close of Registration.
6. A $100 Late Payment Fee applies to students who do not pay their fees or do not pay their fees by the due date.
7. The Last Day to Drop and Request a Full Refund is Friday, January 12, 2024.
8. The Drop/Swap Deadline on myUCF is Friday, January 12, 2024, at 11:59 PM.
9. The Add Deadline on myUCF is Friday, January 12, 2024, at 11:59 PM.
10. Housing Payment is Due on Friday, January 19, 2024.
11. The Payment Deadline is on Friday, January 19, 2024.
12. The Second Installment of Tuition Payment Plan Deadline is Friday, March 8, 2024.
13. The Financial Aid Deferral Repayment Deadline is Friday, March 8, 2024.
14. The Enrollment Appointment Date and Time will be available to view on myUCF for Summer 2024, Fall 2024, and Spring 2025 on Monday, March 11, 2024, according to the UCF academic calendar 2024-2025.
15. The Graduate Thesis/Dissertation Format Review Deadline is Friday, March 15, 2024.
16. UCF Spring Break 2024 is from Monday, March 18, 2024, to Saturday, March 23, 2024. Campus offices remain open. Classes resume on Monday, March 25, 2024.
17. Registration by Appointment and Add/Drop for Summer 2024, Fall 2024, and Spring 2025 Begins on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
18. The Last Day to Reinstate Drop for Nonpayment Classes Deadline is Friday, March 29, 2024, at 4:00 PM.
19. The Withdrawal Deadline is Friday, March 29, 2024, at 11:59 PM.
20. The Financial Aid Award/Adjustments Repayment Deadline (For Course Withdrawals, adjustments, and cancellations) is Friday, April 5, 2024.
21. The VA Deferral Payment Deadline is on Friday, April 5, 2024.
22. The Graduate Thesis/Dissertation Defense Deadline is Friday, April 5, 2024.
23. The Graduate Thesis/Dissertation Final Submission Deadline is Friday, April 19, 2024.
24. Classes End, and it is the Last Day to Remove Incomplete on Monday, April 22, 2024.
25. The Grade Forgiveness Deadline (Students repeating a course this term must submit the grade forgiveness application by 11:59 p.m. on the grade forgiveness deadline) is Monday, April 22, 2024, at 11:59 PM.
26. Study Day is on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
27. The Final Examination Period is from Wednesday, April 24, 2024, to Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
28. On-Campus Housing Closes on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
29. UCF Graduation 2024 and Commencement activities are from Thursday, May 2, 2024, to Saturday, May 4, 2024. The Degree Conferral Date is on Thursday, May 2, 2024.
30. Grades are Due in myUCF by 12 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024.
31. Grades will be available on myUCF on Sunday, May 5, 2024.
