SLU Academic Calendar 2023-2024: Important Dates

The SLU academic calendar 2023-2024 has a holiday schedule, academic events, registration dates, exam schedules, fall break, spring break, other important dates, and deadlines.

Saint Louis University is on a semester system consisting of Fall, Winter and Spring Semesters. Each semester is about 16 weeks long.

Courses taken each semester at SLU are measured in credit hours. The majority of courses are three-credit hours, but there are some that are one, two and four-credit hours.

SLU academic calendar fall 2023

Check out the important dates and deadlines on the SLU academic calendar for fall 2023.

1. SLU fall 2023 registration is from Monday, April 3, 2023, to Friday, April 28, 2023.
2. SLU orientation week for fall 2023 is from August 18, 2023 to August 22, 2023.
3. Convocation/Family Welcome is on August 19, 2023.
4. SLU move-in day for fall 2023 is from August 17, 2023 to August 18, 2023 for freshmen. Returning student move-in is on August 20, 2023. Your building and floor will determine your assigned move-in day and time. Times will be updated by July 10 when new student assignments are released. Check out mySLU login portal.
5. SLU Fall 2023 classes start on Wednesday, August 23 2023.
6. The deadline for application to graduate is September 3, 2023.
7. Labor Day holiday (no classes) is September 4, 2023, according to the SLU holiday calendar 2023.
8. The official fall census date is September 5, 2023.
9. SLU Wellness Day 2023 is September 27, 2023. There are no classes.
10. Mid-Term Conferral date is October 14, 2023.
11. SLU Fall mid-term exams is from Monday, October 16, 2023 to Friday, October 20, 2023.
12. Fall mid-term grades are due by 5 p.m on October 25, 2023.
13. SLU Fall Break 2023 is from October 26, 2023 to October 27, 2023. Classes resume on October 30, 2023.
14. SLU Thanksgiving break 2023 is from November 22, 2023 to November 24, 2023. Classes resume on November 27, 2023.
15. Fall 2023 classes end on December 8, 2023.
16. Fall final exams is from December 11, 2023 to December 15, 2023.
17. SLU Fall 2023 graduation or Commencement and Fall degree conferral date is December 16, 2023.
18. SLU Winter break 2023 is from Monday, December 18, 2023 to Monday, January 15, 2024.
19. The Saint Louis University, SLU Fall final grades are due by 5 p.m. on December 20, 2023.
20. SLU Winter sessions begin on December 18, 2023 to January 12, 2024.
21. Winter degree conferral date is January 13, 2024.

1. SLU Spring 2024 classes start on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
2. The deadline for application to graduate is January 28, 2024.
3. The official spring census date is January 29, 2024, according to SLU academic calendar 2023-2024.
4. According to the SLU Spring 2024 schedule, Wellness Day is February 9, 2024. There are no classes.
5. Spring mid-term exams are from Monday, March 4, 2024 to Friday, March 8, 2024.
6. SLU Spring break 2024 is from March 11, 2024 to March 15, 2024.
7. Spring mid-term grades are due by 5 p.m. on March 12, 2024.
8. Spring 2024 mid-term degree conferral date is March 16, 2024.
9. SLU Easter break 2024 is from March 28, 2024 to April 1, 2024.

15. Spring commencement ceremony and degree conferral date is May 18, 2024.
