Villanova academic calendar fall 2023

Here are the important dates and deadlines on the Villanova academic calendar for fall 2023. It also includes the important dates for law and graduate students.

1. Villanova move-in day Fall 2023 is Friday, August 18, 2023, for First-Year students. Returning residential students’ move-in is from Sunday, August 20, 2023 to Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 9 am – 5 pm.
2. Villanova New Student Orientation is from Saturday, August 19, 2023, to Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
3. Law students’ classes begin on Monday, August 21, 2023.
4. Villanova Fall 2023 classes start on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
5. Saturday Classes begin for PT Studies only on Saturday, August 26, 2023.
6. Tuesday, August 29, 2023 is the last day for requesting Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory and the last day for dropping and/or adding classes.
7. Labor day holiday is Monday, September 4, 2023. There are no classes for Villanova students.
8. Census Date (Official Enrollment Reporting) is Friday, September 15, 2023.
9. Midterm is Friday, October 6, 2023 on the Villanova academic calendar 2023-2024.
10. Villanova Fall break 2023 is from Monday, October 9, 2023 to Sunday, October 15, 2023.Villanova University’s fall recess is one week long. Classes Resume on Monday, October 16, 2023.
11. Midterm grades are due by Noon on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
12. Wednesday, November 8, 2023 is the last day for Authorized Withdrawal without Academic Penalty (WX).
13. Villanova Thanksgiving break 2023 is from Wednesday, November 22, 2023 toSunday, November 26, 2023. The Thanksgiving break begins after the last class on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Classes resume on Monday, November 27, 2023. .
14. Villanova Law students’ exam begins on Thursday, November 30, 2023, to Thursday, December 14, 2023.
15. Final day of Classes for Fall semester is Monday, December 11 2023.
16. Reading day is Tuesday, December 12, 2023.
17. Villanova fall 2023 Final Examinations are from Wednesday, December 13, 2023 to Tuesday, December 19, 2023. There are no exams on Sunday, December 17, 2023.
18. Residence Halls Close at Noon on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
19. Villanova winter break 2023 is from Wednesday, December 20, 2023 to Monday, January 15, 2023.
20. Fall 2023 final Grades are due by Noon on Friday, December 22, 2023.

Spring Semester 2023

Here are the important dates and deadlines on the Villanova academic calendar for spring 2023. It also includes the important dates for law and graduate students.

1. Registration Advising begins on Friday, October 21 2022.
2. Registration begins for the Spring 2023 semester in late October 2022.
3. Residents move into residence halls on a selected date and time from Saturday, January 14 – Monday, January 16 2022.
4. Martin Luther King Day holiday is Monday, January 16 2022. No Classes.
5. Villanova Spring 2023 classes start on Tuesday, January 17 2023. Law students’ classes begin on the same day.
6. Monday, January 23 2023 is the last day for requesting Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory.
7. Monday, January 23 2023 is the last day for dropping and/or adding classes.
8. Wednesday, February 1 2023 is Census Date – Official Enrollment Reporting.
9. Midterm is Friday, March 3 2023 on the Villanova academic calendar.
10. Villanova Spring break 2023 is from Monday, March 6 2023 to Sunday, March 12 2023.
11. Classes Resume on Monday, March 13 2023.
12. Midterm grades are due by Noon on Wednesday, March 15 2023.
13. Wednesday, April 5 2023 is the last day for Authorized Withdrawal without Academic Penalty (WX).
14. Easter break 2023 begins after the last class on Wednesday, April 5 2022, and ends on Monday, April 10 2023.
15. Classes resume after Easter break on Tuesday, April 11 2023 according to the Villanova academic calendar.
16. Law students’ exam begins on Friday, April 28 and ends on Thursday, May 11 2023.
17. Tuesday, May 2 2023 will be deemed a Friday class day and will follow a Friday schedule (UG Day only).
18. Wednesday, May 3 2023 will be considered a Monday class day and will follow a Monday schedule (UG Day only).
19. Thursday, May 4 2023 is the final day of Spring 2023 classes.
20. Reading day is Friday, May 5 2023.
21. Villanova Final Examination (No exams on Sunday, May 7 2023) begins on Saturday, May 6 2023 to Friday, May 12 2023.
22. Residence Halls Close at Noon on Saturday, May 13 2023.
23. Spring 2023 final grades are due by Noon on May 15 2023.
24. Villanova Commencement/graduation 2023 Weekend is Friday, May 19 2023 & Saturday, May 20 2023.
